How to Sign Into the U-Rite Ribbon and Task Pane

Users often install the U-Rite Excel Add-In but aren’t sure how to sign in or why certain features appear locked. Signing into the U-Rite ribbon and the separate U-Rite application pane is required to access your models, run calculations, and use connected platform features. This guide walks through the sign-in process, how the task pane opens, and what to do if you’ve forgotten your password.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After installing the U-Rite Add-In, open Excel and navigate to the U-Rite tab in the ribbon. When you click it for the first time, you’ll see a Open U-Rite button or a prompt indicating that authentication is required. Select Open U-Rite to open the login window, where you’ll enter the same email and password used for your U-Rite Dashboard account.

Upon signing in successfully, the U-Rite application will open as a separate window. This standalone task pane contains your profile information, model overview, tools, and any AI or workflow features available under your plan. The ribbon will also unlock and display buttons such as Run, Sensitivity Analysis, and other core tools relevant to your subscription tier.

If you’re unable to sign in because you’ve forgotten your password, simply click Forgot Password on the login screen. You’ll be prompted to enter your email address, and U-Rite will send a password reset link to your inbox. Open the email, create a new secure password, and return to Excel to sign in again. If you don’t receive the reset email, check your spam folder or contact support for help.

If the ribbon remains locked after signing in, try restarting Excel or confirming that the add-in is enabled under Excel > Options > Add-Ins. Outdated installations, missing permissions, or network restrictions can also affect authentication.

For continued issues with sign-in, password resets, or the application pane not opening as expected, reach out to support@u-rite.com for assistance.
